The London and District Myeloma Support Group offers Information, Education, Support, Community, Advocacy, Research Fund Raising.
We are a group of myeloma patients and caregivers that offer help to myeloma patients and caregivers by providing up to date information and literature about myeloma and the various treatments, clinical trials, advances in treatment, research, drugs, and procedures. The group has a strong relationship with Myeloma Canada which has the most up-to-date information pertinent to Canadians living with Multiple Myeloma.
Myeloma survivorship rates are increasing. This is due to the rapid advances in treatment options introduced in the past several years. In large part these advances and future advances have and are being driven by organizations such as Myeloma Canada (MC), the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF), the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF), and the worldwide network of myeloma support groups. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance that myeloma patients and caregivers join their local support groups. Membership not only helps the individual on their Myeloma Journey, but it is vital for the enrichment of the myeloma community as a whole.
